P.Jamas owner, Esperanza Diaz Mañas has been in the fashion business all her life. She was the assistant to Baron Nicolas de Gunzberg at Vogue magazine for many years until his retirement. Soon after, she designed a sleepwear line for a friend who was in Wall Street and wanted to change careers....that line, Natori, was an instant success and became one of the best sleepwear companies ever. She went on to do private label for Christian Dior Sleepwear, Donna Karan Intimates and Oscar de la Renta Sleepwear. She established her own line in 2000 and now sells to specialty stores and fine catalogues.

Esperanza travels the world looking for the best of the best. Their Pima cottons are the best there is, their buttons are Japanese real Mother of Pearl and their needlework consist of French seamed poplins and hand embroidered and smocked gowns.
