Community Involvement

Flirt Boutique owner Jessica Gerard enjoys being active in the community. Over the years Flirt has held events to benefit many local community organizations, such as Second Stork, Hope Chest, and Women's Advocates. The organization Flirt has an ongoing relationship with is Sarah's...an Oasis for Women. We have been collecting clean, gently used bras for Sarah's since 2019. Jessica visits Sarah's monthly to perform bra fittings, give out donated bras as well as new underwear sold for donation at Flirt at no profit to Flirt. Learn more about Sarah's.

Flirt is also happy to give out gift cards to special auctions at local schools, churches and other organizations. We currently donate to approximately 50 organizations and the number is always growing. Feel free to contact us if you have an organization that has a silent auction!

Our next charitable event will be for Second Stork May 8-9, 2021 for Mother's Day:

Join us for a Mother's Day charity event on May 8-9. What better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to give to new Mom's in need of baby supplies! Help us support Second Stork!

Each year, thousands of new parents across Minnesota are stretched to bring their baby home from the hospital with even the most basic supplies such as a safe place to sleep, diapers, wet wipes, clothing, receiving blankets and other essential items.

Founded in 2009, Second Stork is a Minnesota non-profit that fulfills this real, immediate need by providing those critical items free of charge with no strings attached. Second Stork has no religious nor politically partisan affiliation or agendas in its mission or operations, instead it works to unify all people to come together to help others in need. Second Stork also works in ways to always respect the dignity of people in need, including giving them the same prideful baby items that others in society have for their babies, making the supplies subtle to not stand out that they needed "charity," and by not making them fill out applications to receive a few critical supplies. The fast and expert judgement of experienced medical professionals and hospital staff is better than any application. They are on the front lines and know the questions to ask, the diversity of situations, and the need to act quickly. In 2016, they helped nearly 2100 families by networking with over 60 Minnesota hospitals.
On May 8-9, please consider stopping by Flirt to donate one of the items on the following list that Second Stork is currently in need of or purchase something from their Target registry.

Items needed:
*Lightweight receiving blankets - cotton or flannel
*Onesies - sizes newborn (N) or preemie (P)
*One piece sleepers - sizes newborn or preemie

Please note: All items must be new, as used items cannot be distributed by hospitals.

Cash donations also help!

$60 helps Second Stork buy a Graco pack-n-play with a bassinet attachment for families with no safe sleep option for their newborn.
$25 helps Second Stork buy enough wholesale diapers for three newborns to be diapered for their first 2 weeks.
$10 helps Second Stork buy two pack-n-play sheets.

Thank you to everyone who participates!
